Saint Zita
Maid
(1278)

A simple household servant. From 12 years until his death served Fatinelli home of Lucca (Italy), sometimes being humiliated and criticized by them. Deserved, however, respect thanks to the sincere devotion and dedication to his work. The Lord favored him with the gift of miracles and extraordinary charisma. The cult of the servant of God began shortly after his death in 1272. His tomb in the church of San Fridiano was an object of veneration and pilgrimage for all kinds of people.
Canonized in 1696, his name entered in the Roman calendar in 1748. From Italy his cult passed since the Middle Ages to all parts of Europe, especially in the lower classes. Closely linked to youth associations of domestic service.

History

Saint Zita was born in Lucca, Italy, in 1218, to a poor peasant family, but very pious.
From tiny, enough that mom will say, "This pleases God," to which the girl did. And suffice to say, "This does not please the Lord" for it to stop.
At age 12, because of the poverty of the family had to work as a maid in a wealthy family. The advice he gave the mother to say goodbye to her was this: "In your actions and words you think: Does this please God?". It was advice that helped him behave machismo.
The head of the family where Zita went to work, was sent violent temper and screaming and very humiliating words. All employees protesting this treatment so harsh, less Zita who willingly accepted to resemble Jesus Christ was humiliated and outraged.
Other employees were jealous and continually humiliated hurtful words. But Zita never responded to his offenses or grudge or resentment. The workers were annoyed because she showed aversion to profanity and immoral tales. The branded him "besaladrillos" and "Blessed". But over the years, all became aware that it was a true saint, a great friend of God.
It was the most devoted to their trades in all that vast house and repeated that piety which leads one to neglect the duties and offices that must be met, it is true piety.
A man wanted irrespetarla in her chastity, and she scratched his face, and made off. The other was with slander against the owner of the house and this horribly insulted. Zita did not say a single word to defend. Let God take charge of their defense. And then they knew the whole truth and the pattern had to repent so unfair treatment given him grew tremendously and appreciation for this humble servant.
The money from your paycheck was spent almost everything in helping the poor. He slept on a mat on the bare ground because his cot and mattress had given them a much needed family.
One day in winter with several degrees below zero, the lady of the house lent his woolen cloak to go to the temple to hear mass. But at the door of the temple found a shivering poor and left the mantle. Returning home was terribly scolded for giving this material, but later appeared at the door of the house a man mysterious to bring a beautiful woolen cloak. And he would not say who he was. People said: "An angel of the Lord came to visit."
One day wore for the poor in the folds of her apron, all that was left over from lunch, and by the way he met the furious chief of the house, who asked: - What do you got there?. She opened her apron and only appeared there a bunch of flowers.
In times of great scarcity and hunger Zita partitioned between the poorest some sacks of grain that was in the pantry. When it came raging house foreman grade count how many bags were in the barn, the saint began to pray to God that you solve that problem. The man found there every grain sacks. Not missing a single one. And no one could explain how or when the parts were that she had given to the poor.
When he had a day off, I used to visit poor, sick and prisoners, to help those facing death.
He was 48 years of maid, showing that in any trade or profession that is pleasing to God, you can reach great holiness.
He died on April 27, 1278.
So many miracles were wrought through his intercession that Pope Innocent XII declared holy. And his body was preserved incorrupt when it was removed from the grave, over 300 years after his death.
There are thousands and thousands of pilgrims who come to visit the tomb and temple of Santa Zita. And she continues to give us this great lesson: that in a humble work can gain a great glory for heaven.

Santa Zita
Sirvienta
(1278)

Ego and ostentation

A person having ego
and no one will want to be ostentatious,
not even his own wife and children.

Only when you leave these bad
qualities will be loved by all.

Anger is one of the causes
main man's misery.

An angry man can never
experience happiness in your life;
always be submerged in misery.

While one is full of desires
can never obtain peace.
A greedy man can never be happy.

Therefore, the ego, anger, desire
and greed are primarily responsible
of misery, anguish
and despair of man.

Ego y ostentación...

Ego y ostentación

A la persona que tenga ego
y sea ostentosa nadie la querrá,
ni siquiera su propia esposa e hijos.

Sólo cuando abandone estas malas
cualidades será amado por todos.

La ira es una de las causas
principales de la desdicha del hombre.

Un hombre lleno de ira nunca puede
experimentar la felicidad en su vida;

San Marcos
Evangelist

According to church tradition, Mark, also called John Mark or simply John, is the author of the gospel and the interpreter who translated Peter in his preaching against Greek-speaking audiences. He was the son of a certain Mary, whose house in Jerusalem was open to the primitive Christian community. Cousin of Barnabas was probably like him priestly race. States on the one hand the tradition that Mark would never personally heard the preaching of the Lord, but then many have wanted to find out on the boy who ran away naked in the Garden of Gethsemane, an episode that only the gospel attributed to him concerned. You may have met the group of followers without being properly disciple.

At the start of the expansion of the gospel, Paul and Barnabas went to Jerusalem to Antioch Marcos taking with them, he accompanied them on their first missionary enterprises, Cyprus and Perges, returning to unknown causes.

Barnabas, eager to take Mark with them again when the apostle was planning his second trip, was opposed by Paul, who went alone. Mark therefore followed again Barnabas to Cyprus. However, Marcos reappears with Paul in Rome, but it's belief that it was rather a disciple of Peter who confirms this assumption by calling him "son" him in his first letter. The gospel attributed to him also closely follows the outline of the speeches of Peter who has preserved the book of Acts.

We know nothing of its existence later. The second letter to Timothy points out among peers of this disciple of Paul, according to a fact that reflects the historian Eusebius of Caesarea (early fourth century), the Church of Alexandria would have had the founder. His last years and the place of his death are unknown.

The short story that bears his name observer discovers a spirit and agile. Only Mark, for example, emphasizes the greenness of the grass on which Jesus did lay to the hungry crowd before multiplying the loaves and fishes for the first time.

The broad lines of his gospel, meanwhile, inequalities reflecting deep historical credibility and demonstrate unique theological value. Mark begins by presenting Jesus well received by people, but soon his humble messianism, so far claiming ownership of the popular expectations of the Jews, causes mass deception; enthusiasm first-off, the Lord withdraws from Galilee to devote full instruction to the disciples, who by the mouth of Peter confess the divinity of his Master. From this recognition of Caesarea, the whole story is focused on Jerusalem, the holy city, finally, the opposition grows and culminates in the unfair trial and passion, which reaches its triumphant response when Christ left his grave, according to what was prophesied of himself.

The messianic secret, which Mark does a central theme, and all the fruit gives Jesus the servant humiliated by the evil and ignorance of men who had come to rescue him, is exalted by God, as must be all that it is a heart and continue on the road, the only one to understand the "Good News of Jesus Christ, Son of God" who has transmitted Marcos in a popular language, often wrong in the way, but lively and charming.

San Marcos
Evangelista

"One Minute"

Minute serves to smile, smile for the other, for you and for life.

Minute serves to see the way, admire a flower, feel the fragrance of the flower, feel the wet grass, feel the water clarity.

One minute used to listen to the silence.

It is in a minute if one says, or not to change his life.

A minute for a hand squeeze and conquer a new friend.

One minute to feel the responsibility on his shoulders despite the sadness of the loss, the bitterness of uncertainty, the ice of loneliness, the anxiety of waiting, the mark of the disappointment, the joy of victory.

In one minute you can love, search, share, forgive, expect, believe, and be overcome.

In one minute you can save a life.

Just a minute to encourage or discourage anyone.

One minute to begin the reconstruction of a home, a life.

Minutes ........ how often we miss without realizing it, but also how many times we bring to our memories of life lived full minute of happiness, of joy and sorrow.

We often say "a minute" that seems anything but as shown that minute to raise his hand and say hello to a friend who is gone forever, as assessed that minute that makes us late to our work, as expected that minute that leads us to meet with those we love, as we are filled with emotion that minute that comes straight at birth, and as life also give more minutes to death physically separated and not see more.

A minute seems incredible, it seems so little, and yet it can leave a mark so deep in our lives.

The important thing is to live life because if, letting time pass.

Learn to live life intensely.

Learn not to postpone the most beautiful emotions of life thinking that "yes it is today, will be tomorrow."

Remember that your time is today.

Life is today.

You watch your life tick every minute to the beat of your heart beating.
