pray

Prayer makes us happy, because it unites us to God, who is infinitely happy in himself, that conveys his happiness when we communicate with Him through prayer.

So if you want to be happy in this world, we must pray. If we want to be happier still, we need to pray more, because through prayer we receive many graces and, above all, spiritual joy and consolation.

There will be hard times and sad that, as wayfarers in this world, we must necessarily pass.But how much comfort us to pray to God and the Virgin, pray to the Angels and Saints, implore the Holy Souls in Purgatory! Because all men are one body, and the Church is the communion of saints, and the grace of God and the treasures circulate throughout the body, and to deserve these gifts, we just have to open your mouth to pray and receive gifts unimaginable, because God is infinitely rich, and who prays a lot is also rich, sometimes materially, if not an obstacle to personal salvation.

Prayer gives us peace and we get timely aid of God not only for ourselves but also for those who love both, and they make our happiness. But when we see them sick or suffering, there is no better remedy for them that our prayer.

FIFTH DAY (11/NOV)
God is our Master
CONSIDERATION. - The Holy Virgin called herself the servant of the Lord; She recognizes
also by his Master and the largest compliment that can be made of the saints, that is, they
are also servants of the Lord.
Understand well the meaning of that word: the server, not your own, your time, your job, your
efforts, everything is his master, if it is dedicated and faithful, taking to heart the interests of those it serves,
that looks like their own.
We belong to God, who created us, who redeemed us by the blood of his Son.
We are on earth to serve, that is, to fulfill the commandments given to us, work for
the glory and the salvation of our brothers and ours. Oh! How many men have been repeated in the
his heart and by his actions the dreadful word of Satan: "Non serviam", "I will not serve" and
run well, to his own condemnation!
As for us, imitate Mary, estimémonos happy to serve a good God. In the
enforcement of their laws, we will find peace here below and after our death, happiness is
reward.
EXAMPLE. - St. Vincent de Paul lived always in the presence of God, your Lord and Master. In the
instant start some work, repeated according to the Apostle: Lord, what can I do? and applied
with great care to discern the manifestations of the nature of the inspirations of grace, to
discover what the will of God to fulfill it. It also said that the perfect conformity to the
God, is the best way to succeed in any kind of temptation, to purify the
various imperfections and preserve peace of heart.
PRAYER. - Make me understand, O Virgin Mary! how happy I am to have been called to
service of the King of kings, Lord of lords, and what glory is for me, poor creature,
belong and to pursue happiness dwell in the house of my love, forever and ever.
So be it.
RESOLUTION. - I glorify God to serve.
