Current Graces

I. Human nature lost by original sin, the state of holiness that had been elevated by God and, therefore, was also deprived of the integrity and possessing internal order. Since then the man lacks sufficient strength at will to meet all known moral precepts. Even after baptism experience a tendency to evil and do good difficulty: is called fomes peccati or lust, which, without being in itself sin comes from sin and inclines to sin (Council of Trent, on the sin Original.) God's help is absolutely necessary to perform any act aimed at the supernatural life. Our good works, the fruits of holiness and apostolate, are God first, and second, a result of being matched as instruments, always loose and disproportionate, grace.

II. We all got out of the goodness of God, motions and aids to approach Him, to end work perfectly to make a mortification or an act of faith, to beat us by His love into something that costs: are actual graces, gifts Transient free and God in every soul develop its effects in a particular way. Many we received today! Receive many more if we do not close the door to that quiet and effective action of the Holy Spirit! With the grace God gives us the ease and ability to do good: Without Me ye can do nothing (John 15: 5) said strictly the Lord, and we have well experienced. Our journey is frequently summarize: ask for help, and thank correspond.

III. The man can resist grace. In fact throughout the day, perhaps in small things, we say no to God. And we often try to tell each other what the Lord asks of us, and not to selfishness, to the impulses of pride, to the laziness. The free response to God's grace must be in thought, with words and deeds (Second Vatican Council, Const. Lumen gentium.) The greater or less abundance of grace depends on how we correspond. When we are ready to say yes to the Lord at all, we attract a real shower of gifts and love overwhelms us when we are faithful to the little hints of each day. Let us turn to St. Joseph, Mary's most faithful husband, to help us to hear clearly the voice of the Holy Spirit, so that like him perform so well and so quickly, the will of God.
