The fruits of the Holy Spirit

I. When the soul is docile to the Holy Spirit becomes good tree is made known by its fruits. Although these fruits are countless, St. Paul says twelve fruits result of his gifts: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, longsuffering, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, continence and chastity (Galatians 5, 22-23.)

Charity is the tastiest of fruits because it is the first manifestation of our union with Christ, makes us feel that God is close and has to lighten the load to the other. It is the joy because joy is a result of love, so the Christian is distinguished by its joy, which remains above the pain and failure. The love and joy in the soul let the peace of God, is the absence of agitation and rest of the will in stable possession of the property.

II. Given the obstacles, the Paraclete docile souls bear the fruit of patience, which is in many cases the support of love lost no peace to the disease, the contradiction, the defects of others, slander, and before their own spiritual failures . Patience and long-suffering are very important in the apostolate, the latter is a stable arrangement by which we expect all the time God wants dear delays or permitted by him, before reaching ascetic and apostolic goals we set, and sets goals high, according to the will of God, but the results seem small. He knows that my chosen not labor in vain (Isaiah 45, 23.)

III. Other fruit look first to the neighbor, as St. Paul says: clothed bowels of mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, forbearing and forgiving one another (Colossians 3, 12-13.) Kindness leads us to want all kinds of goods for others without distinction. Translates Kindness charity events, leads us to do good to others (1 Corinthians 13: 4.) And is manifested in works of mercy, in forgiveness and kindness. Meekness is a finishing of goodness and kindness, and opposes the barren manifestations of anger.

Nothing compares to a loyal friend, his price is incalculable (Sir 6, 1.) Fidelity is a way to live in justice and charity. For the modest man to know that his talents are a gift from God and puts them at the service of others, reflecting simplicity and order. By continence and chastity the soul is vigilant to avoid what could damage the inner and outer purity. We finished our prayer approaching the Virgin Mother beautiful love.

Los frutos del Espíritu Santo

I. Cuando el alma es dócil al Espíritu Santo se convierte en árbol bueno que se da a conocer por sus frutos. Aunque estos frutos son incontables, San Pablo nos señala doce frutos resultado de sus dones: caridad, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, longanimidad, mansedumbre, fe, modestia, continencia y castidad (Gálatas 5, 22-23.)

Tres de ellos son en especial, manifestación de la gloria de Dios: el amor, el gozo y la paz. La caridad es el más sabroso de los frutos porque es la primera manifestación de nuestra unión con Cristo, nos hace experimentar que Dios está cerca y tiene a aligerar la carga a los otros. Le sigue el gozo porque la alegría es consecuencia del amor; por eso el cristiano se distingue por su alegría, que permanece por arriba del dolor y del fracaso. El amor y la alegría dejan en el alma la paz de Dios; es ausencia de agitación y el descanso de la voluntad en la posesión estable del bien.

II. Ante los obstáculos, las almas dóciles al Paráclito producen el fruto de la paciencia, que es en muchas ocasiones el soporte del amor; no pierden la paz ante la enfermedad, la contradicción, los defectos ajenos, las calumnias, y ante los propios fracasos espirituales. La paciencia, así como la longanimidad son muy importantes en el apostolado; ésta última es una disposición estable por la que esperamos todo el tiempo que Dios quiera las dilaciones queridas o permitidas por Él, antes de alcanzar las metas ascéticas o apostólicas que nos proponemos, y se propone metas altas, según el querer de Dios, aunque los resultados parezcan pequeños. Sabe que mis elegidos no trabajarán en vano (Isaías 45, 23.)

III. Los demás frutos miran en primer lugar al prójimo, como San Pablo dice: revestíos de entrañas de misericordia, bondad, humildad, mansedumbre, soportándoos y perdonándoos mutuamente (Colosenses 3, 12-13.) La bondad nos inclina a querer toda clase de bienes para otros sin distinción alguna. La benignidad traduce la caridad en hechos, nos inclina a hacer el bien a los demás (1 Corintios 13, 4.) y se manifiesta en obras de misericordia, en indulgencia y afabilidad. La mansedumbre es un acabamiento de la bondad y benignidad, y se opone a las estériles manifestaciones de ira.

Nada hay comparable a un amigo fiel; su precio es incalculable ( Eclo 6, 1.) La fidelidad es una forma de vivir la justicia y la caridad. Por la modestia el hombre a sabe que sus talentos son regalo de Dios y los pone al servicio de los demás, refleja sencillez y orden. Por la continencia y castidad el alma está vigilante para evitar lo que pueda dañar la pureza interior y exterior. Terminamos nuestra oración acercándonos a la Virgen, Madre el amor hermoso.
