NOTES CATECHISM

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Deepening the Passion.

572 The Church remains faithful to "the interpretation of the Scriptures" that Jesus gave both before and after his Passover: "Was it not necessary that Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" (Lk 24, 26-27, 44-45). The sufferings of Jesus have taken a concrete historical form due to the fact he was "rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes" (Mk 8, 31), who handed "him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified "(Mt 20, 19).

573 Thus, faith can examine the circumstances of the death of Jesus, faithfully handed on by the Gospels (cf. DV 19) and illuminated by other historical sources, in order to understand better the meaning of redemption.

Comment:

Nothing more to help the spiritual life of a Christian as meditation on the Passion of the Lord. So everything that is done to know more about his sorrowful passion, be for the benefit of Christian piety, which players will get the holes in the wounds of Jesus, many spiritual treasures for the good of themselves and the world, because the world will be saved by the wounds of Jesus.

There are people who want to know many things and become scholars in many sciences. Hopefully we do scholars in the sufferings of the Savior, because science is one that we need men to be saved and to know Jesus and His Work.

Let us resolve to learn more about the Passion of the Lord, His Agony and His Crucifixion and Death, and let the profane sciences for those who want to "know" things and more. Because what really matters to man is to know God and His Messenger Father, Jesus Christ.

The meditation of the sufferings of the Redeemer is an inexhaustible source of graces and gifts for souls and for all humanity. If mankind were to contemplate the pain of Salvador, in a short time would be saved mercifully by God.
