Post on prayer
Man depends on God.
In this regard makes a wise observation this ingenious writer: A few animals the Creator gave nimble legs to run, other claws, other feathers, and this so they can address the conservation of her being ... but the man did the Lord so that He Himself wants to be full strength. For this we say that man alone is completely incapable of eternal salvation, because the Lord intended that he has and can have, all have with the help of his grace.
And hasten to say that this help of grace, according to his ordinary providence, not granted by the Lord, but to the one who prays, as expressed in the famous sentence Gennadio: We firmly believe that no one wants to attain salvation if not called by God ... nobody walks over to her without the help of God ... no one deserves the help, but I would ask God.
For if we, first, that nothing can be without the help of God and for other relief that do not ordinarily given to the Lord but that says who does not see that from here flows naturally the consequence that prayer is absolutely necessary for salvation? Truth is that thanks first, as the call to faith and repentance have them without our cooperation, according to St. Augustine, which clearly states that the Lord gives even those who do not pray. But the same doctor holds as true that other graces, especially the gift of perseverance, but not granted to those who pray.
Hence theologians with St. Basil, St. John Chrysostom, Clement of Alexandria and many others, among which is St. Augustine, commonly argue that prayer is necessary to adults and not just as a necessity of precept required, as they say schools, but as a necessity of means. Which means that, according to the ordinary providence of God, no Christian can be saved without entrusted to God for the graces necessary for salvation. And the same holds St. Thomas with these serious words: After Baptism man is necessary to the continual prayer, because if it is true that by baptism erases all sins, it is equally disordered inclination remaining sin in the womb the soul and through out the world and the devil chase us all the time.
Here is how the Angelic Doctor shows in a nutshell how we need prayer. We say, to save us having us to fight and win, as that of St. Paul: The fighting in public games is not crowned, if not by the laws combatiere. Without the grace of God we can resist many powerful enemies ... And this grace is only given to those who pray, therefore there is no victory without prayer there is no salvation.

And this man is completely dependent on God, we see it also in the newborn child, for all animal species are more or less barricaded with enough to survive alone, but the child does not receive care from their parents would die of cold or heat or hunger, and not do anything alone.
With this example the Lord mean that all men really are like newborn babies, we have a Father in Heaven who wants to take care of us, and that without Him we can manage alone.
Woe to those who believe that without God alone can be worth! So goes the world today for leaving God aside. Because if a child is left by his parents, soon to be corpse or animal prey. So too this world that has turned away from God, it will soon be wiped out if a miracle of Divine Mercy does not save. And this miracle we can get it with prayer, then God will give us what is necessary to save us and save the world, as long as we ask insistently in prayer.
Depend on everything from God, though some do not believe it, and the more we receive of Him, the more we ask in prayer.
