Meditation

Mental prayer or meditation is more than desirable, necessary for the progress of the spiritual life. You said St. Alphonsus Liguori, "sin can exist in us along with other exercises of godliness, but can not cohabit meditation and sin: or the soul leaves or leaves meditation sin."

CATECISMO PARA NIÑOS

Amar a María. 

Enseñemos a los niños a amar a María Santísima, pues ellos son los preferidos de la Madre del Cielo, y su oración tiene especial eficacia para alcanzar de Dios, por intermedio de María, gracias y favores celestiales para los hombres y para todo el mundo.

Enseñemos a los pequeños a rezar el Santo Rosario, puesto que esta oración es tan amada por la Virgen, y Ella se deleita en escuchar las vocecitas dulces de los niños que la saludan con el Avemaría, y entonces María derrama una lluvia de gracias sobre las familias y el mundo entero.

Si queremos hacer un gran bien a la humanidad, animemos a los niños a rezar el Rosario, comenzando al principio sólo con el rezo de un misterio, para luego progresar y agregar más misterios, hasta que lo puedan rezar entero.

De esta forma estaremos haciendo mucho por la salvación de la humanidad, pues la oración de los inocentes, tanto como la de los ancianos, es muy agradable a Dios, y Él vuelca sobre la Tierra un torrente de gracias en atención a ellas.

Es bueno que tengamos niños que recen por nosotros y por nuestras intenciones, pues Dios escucha con agrado la petición de los pequeños, y así conseguiremos lo que tanto necesitamos para nosotros y para los nuestros.

Si somos catequistas de niños, aprovechemos y hagámoslos rezar más, dándoles a conocer a María y hablando de sus grandezas y del amor que Ella siente por sus hijitos, y así los conduciremos por el camino que lleva directo al Cielo.

67. ¿Para qué fin ha creado Dios al hombre?

358-359

Dios ha creado todo para el hombre, pero el hombre ha sido creado para conocer, servir y amar a Dios, para ofrecer en este mundo toda la Creación a Dios en acción de gracias, y para ser elevado a la vida con Dios en el cielo. Solamente en el misterio del Verbo encarnado encuentra verdadera luz el misterio del hombre, predestinado a reproducir la imagen del Hijo de Dios hecho hombre, que es la perfecta «imagen de Dios invisible» (Col 1, 15).

Comentario:

Esta pregunta es de capital importancia, porque de su respuesta, depende cómo se encare la propia vida. Si no sabemos para qué hemos sido creados, seguramente no sabremos de dónde venimos, ni hacia dónde vamos, ni para qué estamos aquí o qué función cumplimos.

El mundo está muy equivocado en la concepción de la vida, creyendo que esta tierra es lo único que existe. Pero esto es lógico que sea así, ya que el príncipe de este mundo es el diablo.

Lo extraño es que a veces dentro de la misma Iglesia haya gente que piense como los mundanos, y vivan para la carne y para el mundo, sin tener en cuenta el más allá.

Y esto nos pasa incluso un poco a todos, porque es tal la vorágine del mundo moderno, con sus tecnologías y “encantos”, que constantemente nos está haciendo poner la mirada en el aquí y ahora, haciéndonos olvidar de lo permanente, que vendrá después de la muerte.

Dios nos ha creado para que seamos felices, pero para llegar a serlo tenemos que llevar la cruz en esta vida y luego en el Cielo nos esperará la Felicidad con mayúscula.

En cambio el demonio nos dice que tenemos que ser felices en este mundo, y para lograrlo hay que pisotear los Mandamientos, que no nos dejan desarrollar y “realizarnos”. Es la misma tentación que usó para Adán y Eva, y le viene dando buenos resultados: “Si coméis seréis como dioses”, y nosotros comemos y así somos infelices en esta vida, porque el pecado deja un sabor amargo; y seremos infelices también en la otra vida. Ésa es la dádiva que nos da el demonio y el pecado.

Separación definitiva. 

Serán congregadas delante de él todas las naciones, y él separará a los unos de los otros, como el pastor separa las ovejas de los cabritos. (Mt 25, 32). 

Comentario: 

En este mundo el bien y el mal están juntos, los buenos y los malos conviven, pero ello será hasta el fin del mundo, cuando Cristo Rey, como justo Juez, separe a los unos de los otros de manera definitiva.

Y es interesante ver en este texto del Evangelio que San Mateo dice que delante del Señor serán congregadas las naciones, dando a entender con ello que no serán sólo las almas, ni habrá juicio sólo para las almas individualmente, sino que seremos juzgados con nuestros pueblos, con toda la sociedad de la cual participamos, pues debe quedar bien patente en el Juicio Universal, quién era el que tenía la razón, y quién era el que estaba en el error. Los que tenían la razón eran los santos, los justos, los virtuosos. En cambio, los rechazados serán quienes vivían a su antojo, sin cumplir los Mandamientos y haciendo mal a los demás.

Ojalá, cuando llegue ese momento, que ciertamente llegará, porque Dios cumple lo que promete, y sabemos que el Juicio Final vendrá a su debido tiempo, ojalá, decimos, nos encontremos en el grupo de los elegidos para el Cielo, porque entonces sí que entenderemos por fin lo imprescindible que era el vivir rectamente cumpliendo los Diez Mandamientos. Pero ya no habrá más tiempo para ninguno, sino sólo oír la sentencia definitiva e irrevocable: Cielo o Infierno.

Jesús, María, os amo, salvad las almas.

Vuelve a empezar  

No mirar hacia atrás.

La esposa de Lot, por curiosidad para ver los castigos sobre Sodoma, miró hacia atrás, e inmediatamente se convirtió en estatua de sal. Éste es un aviso que nos da el Señor, que también nos ha dicho en el Santo Evangelio que quien pone la mano en el arado y mira hacia atrás, no sirve para el Reino de Dios.

¡Cuántas veces el pasado, el recuerdo de cosas pasadas, nos atrofian para vivir bien el presente! Como si de alguna manera pudiéramos corregir algo del pasado. ¿Acaso creemos por ventura que podemos cambiar algo de lo que ya fue? Entonces, ya que no podemos, dejémoslo en las manos de Dios y lancémonos hacia adelante, con todas nuestras fuerzas, en la situación que nos encontremos, que Dios nos proveerá de lo necesario y nuestra cruz se hará llevadera, y quizás, cuando menos lo pensemos, tal vez el Señor nos la quite del todo o en gran parte.

Ya el Señor nos ha dicho que su yugo es llevadero y su carga liviana, pero nosotros lo hacemos más pesado de lo que es, con todas nuestras preocupaciones que nos amargan la existencia. Y no sólo nos amargamos nosotros, sino que de rebote hacemos amargar a los demás y causamos dolor.

Hagamos lo posible por empezar de nuevo. Como decían un dicho popular: “Borrón y cuenta nueva”. No es fácil hacerlo. Es fácil decirlo, pero tenemos que empeñarnos en comenzar a practicarlo hoy mismo, ya mismo, y ser felices, porque cuando empecemos a practicar esto de mirar sólo hacia adelante, entonces estaremos contentos, sabiendo que Dios nos cuida.
