Today, the Gospel tells us that Jesus walked with his disciples, dodging people, by a large plain. To know, nothing beats walking and traveling in company. This raises the confidence easily. And confidence is confidence. And trust is to communicate love. Love dazzles and amazes to discover the mystery that is housed in the depths of the human heart. Excitedly, the Master speaks to his disciples the mystery gnawing inside. Sometimes it is illusion, others to think, feel afraid most of the time he knows that he will understand. But they are your friends, all he received from the Father must communicate well and so far it has been doing. Do not understand but in tune with the emotion with which he speaks, it is appreciated, proof that they have him, even if they are so little, to make their projects succeed. Be delivered, they will kill, but raised on the third day (cf. Mk 9:31).
Death and resurrection. For some concepts are intriguing, for others axioms unacceptable. He has come to reveal it, shouting that joyful luck has come to mankind, but to make it so it will be up to him, the friend, the brother, the Son of the Father, passing through cruel sufferings. But, oh sad paradox!: While living inside this tragedy, they discuss who will move up higher on the podium of champions, when the end of the race to his Kingdom. We work ourselves? Differently? Who is without ambition, cast the first stone.
Jesus proclaims new values. The important thing is not to succeed, but to serve, and the day will show their work evangelizing highlight of washing their feet. Greatness is not in the learning of the wise, but the ingenuity of the child. "Even if you knew the whole Bible by heart and the judgments of all the philosophers, what good would all that without charity and grace of God?" (Thomas a Kempis). Greeting the sage satisfy our vanity, wring hugging the little one God and we catch him, divinizing.
