Evangelio del día...

lunes 9/JUL/12

Evangelio del día

Lc 1, 39-47.

My Lord...

I do not reject you, Lord

If the door of my life comes suffering,
trying to weaken the test,
I destabilizes the contradiction,
the no reason trying to break me.
I do not reject you, Lord.

You know all that you accept my offer,
love, not just my love avails,
your charity, and not just give away my details in dribs and drabs,
your forgiveness, and not just selling my limited understanding.
I do not reject you, Lord.

Your Word, and not just hear that I agree.
Your cross, and not only lead to small pieces.
Your Truth, and not only defend my own.
I do not reject you, Lord.

Indifference, I proclaim your presence.
In the vacuum, I move the contents of your Grace.
Given the absurd, I sow the horizon of your sky.
In the confusion, announce the key to your reign.
I do not reject you, Lord.

I do not comply with that You are the Son of God,
you know it and try to live in their own meats.
Do not see your way easy listening gospel
you know it shout the four paths of my life.
Do not confuse me with your love, altruism,
your joy with my smile, your devotion to my dedication,
your heart with my impulses, my short prayer with mercy.
I do not reject you, Lord.

Our Lady of Chiquinquirá
Patron of Colombia
Tradition tells us that four centuries ago, Don Antonio de Santana, encomendero of the peoples of Suta and Chiquinquirá, asked the Spanish Alonso de Narváez (ca. 1560) to paint an image of the Virgen del Rosario, to place in a small chapel.
The painting was done on a cotton cloth from indigenous, medium 44 inches high by 49 wide, Alonso de Narvaez used colors in tempera, made an image of the Virgen del Rosario with the Child Jesus, and sides made the Apostle San Andres and San Antonio de Padua.
The box was placed in the chapel that had Don Antonio in his chambers of Suta, was there for over a decade, but the chapel had a thatched roof, which caused moisture to deteriorate the paint until it is completely blurred.
After Santana's death, his widow, moved to Chiquinquirá, circa 1577-78. The image was taken to that place, but was in such poor condition that was abandoned in a room, room that had once been used as an oratory.
At the beginning of the year 1586, settled in Chiquinquirá, a pious woman, Maria Ramos, born in Seville (Spain), Mrs. repaired the old chapel and hung in the place of the chapel, the damaged painting of the Virgin of the Rosary.
On December 26, 1586, Mary left the chapel, when she passed by an Indian woman named Isabel and her young son. At that time Mary Elizabeth scream "look, look lady ..." She glanced toward the painting, the image was surrounded by bright flashes, colors and wonderfully original luster had reappeared, scratches and holes in the cloth were gone. With such a wonderful event started the devotion to Our Lady of Chiquinquirá.

XIV DURING SUNDAY

Are a rebellious
and know that a prophet among them

Reading the book of Ezekiel
2, 2-5

A spirit entered into me and made me stand, and I heard him speaking to me. He said:
Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, a people of rebels who have rebelled against me: they and their parents have rebelled against me until today. Men are stubborn and hard-hearted those whom I send thee, to tell them, 'Thus says the Lord. " And whether they hear or refuse to do it, because they are a rebellious people know that a prophet among them.

Word of God.

Responsorial Psalm 122, 1-4

R. Our eyes look to the Lord
until he have mercy on us

I lift my eyes to you,
who dwell in heaven. R.

As the eyes of the servers
are fixed in the hands of his master.
and the eyes of the servant in the hands of its owner:
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
until he have mercy on us. R.

Have mercy Lord, have mercy on us,
because we are sick of contempt!
Our soul is saturated
      the scorn of the arrogant
of contempt of the proud. R.

I glory in my weakness,
to reside in me the power of Christ

Reading from the Second Letter of Paul
Christians of Corinth
12, 7-10

Siblings:
For the greatness of the revelations I should boast, I have a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan to hurt me.
Three times I asked the Lord to deliver me, but He answered: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Rather, I will boast wholeheartedly in my weakness, that resides in me the power of Christ. So I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for Christ supported for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Word of God.
